Private Residence - Kitchen Remodel
A 90’s Mediterranean kitchen was reworked to feel lighter, quieter and better connected to the home around it. The existing layout included a large two-tiered island and cabinetry built around an opening to the lower level, creating visual clutter and an awkward relationship between spaces.
We simplified the architecture, closed the interior opening and reorganized the kitchen around a generous central island. New cabinetry maximizes storage while creating cleaner sightlines, with a full-height pantry wall and a tiled niche adding both function and character. A softer palette, warm brass, patterned tile and sculptural lighting bring warmth back into the newly streamlined space.
The result is a kitchen that feels open and contemporary without feeling disconnected from the character of the original home.
